I bought two new books today: Just Kids by Patti Smith, and The Family Fang by Kevin Wilson.
I cannot wait to start reading them.
So I’m making plans for next summer to visit the ten smallest towns in the United States, and make a piece for each one. Each piece would serve as a historical “guide” to the town, with recordings, old photographs, maps and address books.
I’m still in the beginning stages of planning, but I’m hoping to create a budget and itinerary for the trip over the summer, so I can apply for grants and scholarships in the Fall and Spring.
It’s definitely an in process thing, though, and I still have a lot of thinking to do on the idea itself. But I’m really excited about it, and I’m hoping it works out!
I’ll definitely keep you posted on my progress.
